Decided on a trip to Poland in the next couple of weeks.
Flights, hotel, etc all booked, along with a tour of Auschwitz (dont ask. Its just sommat that I have always said I want to do).
I suspect that the tour will be somewhat harrowing, so has anyone been to Krakow? Any good things to do? Tips? Advice?
After the Aushwitz tour, replies suggesting a little lighthearted eyelid nailing (or similar) wiill be ignored _________________ Dont take life too seriously - Its not permanent!!

Have a good trip, Dodgy. Not my idea of fun, but I'm sure you'll find it interesting. I was an ardent viewer of that epic TV series, The Holocaust, many years back, and I think I can say that's as close to Auschwitz as I want to get. (anyone remember that one?)
I usually go off to Sth America, (Colombia mainly), as I like the kids to know their culture, language, and general roots, being descendants of the Conquistadores and all that. But whilst there, I do some exploring, like the time before last, I went down to the Amazon, from where I could nip over to Brazil, Peru, etc. Went swimming with Pirañas and Alligators. The Pirañas were deliberate, for I did a shoot for a charity video, but the alligators, .... well I didn't know about them until I was there, and in the water. That was some buzz, I can tell you, although not my ideal choice of watersports.
Having had a good colon-cleansing from that experience (Don't worry, figuratively only, I'm glad to say), I'm off to Greece this year instead. Love Athens.
But what was Z? Was it a Z3 or 4? If so, your bloody mad, swapping it in for a 120. I wouldn't. But then, I suppose we're all different.
Have a good Holiday. Enjoy it |

Holiday wise, i just prefer the bizarre I suppose. Yep - I remember that programme - harrowing.
I decided to go to Auschwitz a few months ago when a mate who had been with a bunch of "hardened" squaddies. The laughing and joking stopped quite quickly to be replaced by horror - he said it was a place that will live with him for ever.
i have been to the "wonders of the world" that are still available (Pyramids, Grand Canyon) so thought that if this was the next biggest one I had better get out there.
The "Z" was a Nissan 350Z - had to go - had it for just over a year. _________________ Dont take life too seriously - Its not permanent!!
