I was wondering what people thought an ideal first meeting/date would be?
A coffee in a public place, a quiet drink, a pub, maybe a meal, cinema or something else...maybe an 'activity date' (ie water sking or learning to drive a 4wd vehicle)?
I appreciate all of the safety issues involved but just curious?

A coffee in a public place, a quiet drink,
in a pub is where I start, also a nice meal is good just make sure you let someone know where you are & get them to ring you during the date in case you need a get out excuse

(at the age of 23, i believe i have never been on a date)

but i think the quiet drink option is a good idea.. i like to try and figure out someones music taste so maybe a nice bit of window shopping to get them into some music shop and see what they run too..

Rolling Eyes

i'm a big fan of the simple things so i'd prolly wanna just sit by the sea with some chips and a smile.. that sound good?

I used to do this for my friend, then one night she was on a first date with a guy miles away, but in a public place for a meal......BUT then she rung me to tell me the fella had told her he murdered his wife! She gave me a website addy and sure enough it was true.

As for karrot's idea, well I'm the same only on The North Sea coast.

that is a scary situation.. i once pretended to be my friends boyfriend so she could get out of a date, i just sorta shouted down teh phone and sorted angry.. screaming 'women! come home now!' i'm far to dramatic for my own good i think
