How are you doing everybody?
Pretty new to Cornwall and living in Falmouth. Also new to these chatroom type things. Just wondering where people advise to go out in and around Fal. You are the experts so spread the knowledge.

I gave that up a long time ago. I found if you went out pubbing it in Falmouth to try and meet someone, you'd end up with the wrong kind of person .... unless you're a drunkard aswell, and then you'd be in great company. And afterwards there's the obligatory fight, as its mandatory to show off your testosterone, but unfortunately the girls are too drunk to remember who won and who lost, so even if you are Mike Tyson, it wouldn't do you much good.
No, I reckon its better to meet girls in Asda. You can tell a lot more about them, and what they are really like when the drink isn't talking. Most times, you can see whether they have a dozen kids in tow, live on junk food, swear like a trooper, and spend all their money on booze. Unfortunately most of the population is like that, but at least you can see it for yourself BEFORE you spend your month's salary cheque on them. And if you do spot a nice one, give her a smile. It works wonders. I'm told, as nobody smiles anymore, its so unusual, it takes them by surprise ... then you get their knickers off before they realise what's happening, and hey presto, you just got laid.
(ooops, I had better make it plain I am only light-heartedly jesting, otherwise I shall be getting a barrage of mails giving me a right kicking. Sorry ladies!!!)
But good luck with your search. Other than that, the only suggestion I have for a good night out would be Ryanair to London. But I also hear Plymouth has a bit of nightlife.

Hmmm, actually having gone out a few times now in Falmouth |I find it to be just about the most pleasant town I've ever come across, with the nicest laid back people! It's a far cry from Manchester! Also I never go out with the intention of meeting anybody, I'd never force an issue like that it just seems unnatural :- as in 'oh, I think today I will go out and find a partner to share a portion or all of my life with.' I would never go to a pub for that!
