Hi will be in London for the notting hill carnival AUG 24 and leaving the 28th. Would love to know which are the best trance, house & Hip Hop pubs, bars & clubs that are not tourist traps. Prefer underground than posh. Also will be glad to know and have advice on the carnival from people who have been on previous years. Best to all... and rave on...

The notting hill carnival isn't as good as it was. Here are some tips though.

Get there early so you can explore before it get's packed and find somewhere to settle etc.

If you can help it don't bring extra stuff in bags backpacks etc. Keep it compact.
