Is there something like man is only woman's friend, or he is expecting something else. Dating or whatever.

What do you think guys. Would you trust the dude being your girlfriend or wife's friend.

So guys, what's on your mind?

It's about time that men and women could accept their partner having having friends of the opposite love without it being anything more than just that, a FRIENDSHIP.

I for one, would NOT have a partner again who couldn't accept my friends whether they be male or female.

Issues around this are that a partner should be able to TRUST ME

They should also recognise that if anything was going to happen with the friend romantically /sexually, it would have happened years/months ago (in my case my male friends are mostly men I've known for many years)

That the type of relationship between long term friends of the opposite love are more often like the brotherly, sisterly, cousin type of relationship where they know you so well and you have a great rapport with them.

When I was married I gave up my male friends 'cos my then husband didn't like them being my friends and as they didn't live near me it meant putting them up etc..... so when he did leave me for another woman I was 42 with no friends 'cos my life was family and work, and for much of that time I was working 7 days (not by choice either)so I never got to socialise even as a couple. So I wouldn't give up my friends again, and I've now got some of those ones from my pre-marriage days back in my life again.

One of my best friends is a woman and every girlfriend I've had has been cool with it, mainly because I've always been honest about our friendship and included my gf as much as possible when doing things with mates.

My ex had men friends and that was fine but if I were to have female friends she would go mad saying that I was fxxxing around. No mater how much you love someone if the trust is not there the relationship can not last, as it turned out my ex was the one fxxxing around. Sad

If most guys where to be honest with themselves the answer would be guys n girls can be mates but at some point the guys gonna want love, even if its alcohol orientated.
I think the few who would just be mates either dont like the look of the girl or dont like girls atol.
