There is the forums of course where you can join in any active topics. Which you seem to already have discovered.

Then you can browse profiles using the search feature to the side of the site.

Then you can send users private messages and mail through that system also.

Apart from that, I'm thinking about moving to Edinburgh, is it a good place to live?
