I'd like to assure you that this site does generate dates.

The trick is to get to know people who use the site and let them get to know you. Turning up for a "meet", to demonstrate that you're a real person instead of a single stolen picture, can help too.

It is not a place for a quick fix though, you need to be patient.

Yeah, posting on the forums is a good way of getting yourself known. I've found the best thing is to just aim to make casual friends, because that way you don't keep feeling disappointed. In a couple of weeks you'll probably start getting on with someone really well and be in a position to take it further.

This is not to say that a pay-for-contact website wouldn't work for you. Clicking through from a Flirtbox ad and joining up would help the site too.

I'd recommend you consider talking about your experiences with dating on the Dating forum, because people may be able to offer you some advice and you might get a feel for the site.

However "I want a great date NOW" is something that few people can help you with, unless they find impatience to be an appealing trait in a partner!

I love dates especially romantic ones =) i like going for quiet drinks or maybe dinner at a nice pub or even a film at cinema to feel the closeness amybe a cuddle... n hopefully after all that you find soemone you could start seein x
