Local
It's opposite The Garage on Sauchiehall Street. Great place, an' it has full size Pool tables downstairs, only thing to watch out for is the folk coming out of or going into the garage, but the Local itself is good on it's own.

I live in Paisley most of the time and when I do venture into Glasgow, it's usually for gigs, barfly, garage, cathouse etc
But, if people ever went out to Paisley...
best places are probably the Last Post (near the station), Hogshead (bright pink pub opposite pfc) or the Student's Union (storie street, near library, bright purple, open sept-may). Sometimes we go to Suburbia and Borgia, although they're quite neddy, and as always, you can find most rockers in the Crow Bar.
Just an idea, you know...

The West end is pretty relaxed, the Hogshead is cheap and friendly, while Ashton Lane (it's behind the Hillhead Underground Station) has a lot of variety but it's a bit more expensive.
