Why are men so fascinated with lesbians? Is it the idea of two women at once?

What's your theory? Wink

Lesbians were burnt as witches many years ago. The fascination lies in the deep rooted instinct of wanting to put the fires out by throwing a bucket of water on them.

It's an age old fascination which can be summed up as "men are perverts."

To put it one way what's better than one cake? Two.

So by most mens logic what's better to look at, one women naked or two? They generally would choose two.

Yet in the end they are not going to do anything with them which makes the whole thing a bit hilarious.

What's hilarious to me is your narrow minded and naive take on men's fascination with lesbians!!! I'm just glad that the female friends I socialise with are far more broad minded, less cynical about men and generally less stereotypical than yourself.

Fergieska, just realised from your profile you're a lad.... I apologise. I wrongly assumed from your post that you were female.

My opinion still stands though

I seriously want to believe that our society has liberated much more in the past few years. But I still think there's something deep rooted fascination with the so called 'forbidden'. Ofcourse the flooding entries in girlsweb will echo that lesbianism is not a taboo anymore but somewhere its still something 'dark' or 'grey' to most (grey or dark neither are used in a derogatory sense, its just something 'not clearly known'). This could be a reason of the underlying fascination.

Well it doesnt really because your entire opinion focuses through the perspective of a certain gender, which proved to be wrong. Of course not all guys are perverts, but to say the majority is would not be a lie and in all honesty you are acting as though it's something wrong. In reality there's nothing wrong, it's no more wrong than women wanting a muscular guy or guys wanting to have love or anyone wanting to date someone with a particular hair colour or eye colour or hobbie, Ive in no way said "men only want love, think about it all the time and will screw anything with a pulse."

It's just something people may like, what is so wrong with it? Im a programmer and I enjoy programming is that wrong? I like to cook too is that wrong?

Why is it that since it is related to love it has to be assumed as something bad? Being fascinated by lesbians is perverted but what's so wrong with being a bit perverted? It shows your human if anything.

My opinion does still stand because it's my opinion. And the whole tone of your take on the topic seems to have changed from your first post. To be honest, your first post still reads with a very blinkered, simplistic and unconsidered opinion. Was this comment not a derogatory generalisation? "Yet in the end they are not going to do anything with them which makes the whole thing a bit hilarious."

Your second post though reads with a more thoughtful, intelligent and considered way. Why not write like that to start with? I also disagree with your take on being a pervert or perverted. I seriously believe that in today's society, being fascinated with lesbianism or simply watching them does not make a person a pervert or perverted in any way. Is it really deviating from what is the norm or morally/socially acceptable?

I think its just a case of men find it a turn on to see two girls together because its hot or whatever. I think if your open minded its possible to get past the reasoning, they like it and thats that. If you dont like the idea simply dont do and dont let your man talk you into it if you dont, f you do like the idea, go ahead and have some fun. Only live once people Smilex

1st.
No not a derogatory generalisation just a humorous look at how silly being obsessed with a fantasy like this is. In other words a joke. Internet != serious business.

2nd
My post approached things more thoroughly because you were acting rather paranoid about the entire thing so I decided to show that.

And yes by a general consensus you'll find that men fascinating about women having love is rather perverted:

"any of various means of obtaining sexual gratification that are generally regarded as being abnormal."

due to the abnormality of the situation (this case enjoying something that you cant have and cant affect you) it falls under the very definition of perversion.

No idea where you got paranoid from, but cheers for showing it anyway. That was sarcasm by the way, just to eliminate any misunderstanding, and to save you having to show it. And I still don't buy it that lesbianism is perverted. If you really believe that obtaining sexual gratification by watching something you can't have is abnormal, then you need to do a poll. Include females in that poll too.

And there's a difference between enjoying something and being obsessed with it, is there not?

I'll beg to differ on the lot thanks

when the topic contains the phrase "fascination" it pretty much goes beyond basic enjoyment and obsession. Also the concept of some guy just going "Im not a lesbian addict, I can control my intake." Is rather strange to say the least.

You may not buy it but that's just the case. Dictionary favours me here. It's abnormal because unless the two women suddenly say "you know what Ive changed my mind." there's no way in hell a guy can be affected.

I think you're really over complicating it all now. Or maybe we both are. Either be fascinated and enjoy it or watch something else on your own/with your sexual partner of choice.

Hang on here lads, before all this gets too serious over the top I feel I should weigh in with the news I would definitely prefer two cakes to one cake.

The idea of two girls making out is erotic, but the reality is maybe a little awkward and intimidating...

Second thoughts, I'm stopping talking about this right now, it's bringing back painful memories and I'm sure I've got half a lemon merangue pie in the fridge.

Look, plain and simple if you look at it we have no idea why men like lesbiens. Its an unwritten rule lol.
