I'd wish there was a block button and a block list and every time I retry to see the person (who didn't even tried to answer me) to block me from seeing that person again. That will really help, as the nicks are sometimes SO similar ...

It helps a lot to know what some girls really want as you might have sent messages to girls who don't wanna date, nor chat, they just want to know how many are interested in her ... nothing more.

I think the success rate on dating sites is on a par with face-to-face meetings ie THE REAL WORLD!! I met my fellah on another site over a year ago. I know a couple of other people who have met via dating sites and our lovely Cheeky has defied all the critiques of distance dating. Her guy lived 10 hours away and now they live together

I also know someone who dated someone for 10 months and was very happy til it went pear-shaped right at the end... much like any relationship. It can be done, just don't expect miracles.

In UK, USA or Austria it's not easy to find somebody, some have more luck and others not. Anyway its spring and time to wake up again, tried with parship first but it was quite the same like on this free site.

Never give up but don't expect too much, it just hurts.

I've been on quite a few dates from 'dating sites' and some from here too and it works for me.
Flirtbox is my favourite site as I've also got quite a few friends of both sexes from being active on the forums here which is really nice, but I suppose it's a lot to do with your expectations as to whether it's going to work for you.
Where I live, is still a bit of a hinderence as the people I'm interested in mainly live too far away, but I'm not surprised because I don't often see men I fancy where I live anyway, which was why I came onto sites in the first place.
Most of my dates have happened when I stay in London for a while.

I've only been on here a few days so no, not yet. Hopefully plugging on forums might help, as my non-internet (and internet) attempts at getting dates have been miserable.

these sites do work but obviously its a waiting game in a way.things take time and as for nobody replying to ya maybe u r not mailing the right women or not saying the right things...the dating scene is tricky and hard to know as to what to do,say etc..kick back and enjoy the ride..

To be honest most of the time these types of site serve to piss me off.

I have met few people off of various dating sites... One I spent 3 years with and another just under a year and the rest a few months to weeks here and there.

So I suppose in my case they haven't worked as I'm single now.

i've only just signed up for this site and i've never met anyone YET. But all i can say is dont be a qutter keep going. A good looking picture will be the main focus on some other sites but on this one i think its different
