have to say i think this site is very poor, seems to be the same matches evey time. starting to think some of the profiles of females are just put on to lure us stupid blokes on to this. has anyone else had any luck with this site?

lol, well now i know why i am accused of being a male, whats the benefit of coning men onto the site, its freeeeeeeeeeee, if men were paying for it, then yeah i could see that as a possibilty, however men will always come on looking for females ,
maybe your search criteria needs reviewing, or the type of lady your looking for is elsewhere,????

Actually there are a number of dodgy profiles.
I speak from experience (not that I got burnt)! There are a few Ex-soviet countries etc...need I say more? Just don't go with sending your phone number or email address if someone asks for it straight away - on any dating site! There are many con's out there but there are also some reasonably sane and decent women -if that isn't a contradiction in terms
Keep trying - I have met some good ones.

i dont think that its the fact that there are a lot of bogus profiles i think maybe ladies are just a bit more cautious about interacting on these types of things, can i ask why there are no pics up on your profile? dont you think that maybe if we could put a face to your profile you may seem a lit more appealing? i myself have skipped over the ones without pics on them many times cos it makes me feel uneasy talking to someone without a face...just a thought. hope you have better luck

there are some bogus profiles but i dont belive there put there by flirtbox, some are people boared and nothing better to do, some are cam girls that will try and lure you to there site etc but most are deleted before long

Some of the profiles i've looked at have been ancient, and no one has been going on them for years...

It's free, so i guess people do what i am doing; join up, chat for a bit, get bored and never return...

Just joined ,so can't comment on whether this is good or bad site, I havent met any one yet either,but pretty confident that I will shortly.
However ,I would imagine that flirtbox like most sites out there,myspace included,is bound to harbour all sorts of Clint East Wood Profiles [the good ,the bad and the ugly ones]

It's the internet lol, of course there are going to be 'bogus' profiles. To be honest, it's them that are losing out because it's a dating site - if you get on with someone - you meet.. but if you do end up liking someone under false pretenses.. you can't meet them because they think you're someone different. It's their own fault.

People should do sign pictures, like - pictures of them with their screen name written on their hand or on a piece of paper - simple to do and saves a lot of hassle. Just an idea.

i think there are some bogus profiles but not just of women i am sure some of the women on here have came accross men that are not all they apear to be.
as for the matches i think they are the most recent ones in your area you cant get new maches if new people dont join

I think this site has less scammers than any other dating site I've had experience of, but a while ago I put a block on every country except Ireland and the UK and don't think I've had any fake profiles since I did that.

I think the number of fake profils has dropped loads in recent months, Most of the profiles are empty shells though. People sign up cause its free, do 1 post or 1 search and then never come back,
Leaving loads of profiles and messages never answered.

My experience is still that men are looking for sex, and once they realise no one responds to that they go elsewhere.
And yes, cam girls find incredible ways of getting into everything. I am female and yet still get 'paris' every other day on my msn. I actually got a request from someone with the same name as my mum! so i allowed it and within seconds i got asl!
I just block and delete, however they pop up with everyname under the sun.

I think christmas is doing its usual, no one wants to be alone, and yet the site has never been slower.

The sad thing is these people are actually tricking girls and guys!!
