Sorry for my ignorance but i have not read all the posts and I'm not really following on from where people left off. I get the general gist of the people's comments and posts. My opinion is very simple. I have noticed that both men and woman do put pics of themselves being younger. As in the real world people like to impress there potential partners by hook or by crook especialy if they really like the other person. It's a human thing for both sexes but its not really advisable if you want the reltionship to last or even start at all. I have actualy met one lady on here that i thought was quite attractive nice person etc. I did meet her for a date but I was a bit
disappointed that she was much older than her pic suggested, not a good start:). Just from that one thing alone can lead you to ask questions about trust and honesty etc again not a good start.

I think you'll find that most of us forum users are kept on our toes for updating our photographs regularly and I'm happy to say when I meet people there's been no great shock for them, only for me haha!!. I do know that there are many pics up of people that haven't changed them in 2 1/2 yrs.

....and thanks daveytux for your compliments, I've only just noticed Very Happy

Isn't it rude to ask a lady her age, or is that a thing of the past? Wink

Her age was consistant but her picture was well younger than her appearance lol.

Having only just signed up, I'm still debating whether or not to post a photo, or to maintain a slight air of mystery about myself and leave it blank. Sure, showing a photo might increase my chances of being approached, but, personally, I'd rather be approached for my personality than my looks, as that's what I look for in return Smile

Cue numerous comments referring to me as a "munter" etc, etc, etc.

No, I would say that is all very well, but why slim down your chances? A picture isn't just about looking good, its about getting to know you as a person rather than a block of text.

seems a bit odd to come on a dating site and slag off the very people you hope to date! still, love the attitude, feisty if a little dim.

misoginism is a general thing between guys....
and there is a Q/A
"Q:what does a woman do when she's getting fucked?/A:time to get connected to an inteligence surce"

The hope is that people won't waste your time with deliberately misleading pics, but that IS a risk you take on a site like this. If you don't like it, I guess you could try living in the real world Wink Then perhaps you might find guys who really are that hot.

i do fully agree with all the comments on this subject but in my opinion if a woman has a low cut top in her pic that to me is still tasteful but when you can physically see that the female is pulling her top down or laying in her bra, its tasteless and to me it show that all she will end up with are men that dont treat them right (the ones they complain about) and in respect of men, if he is wearing a top thats designed in a certain way then its fine (vest) but when they pose topless it does nothing for women, both sexes like the feeling of believing they are the only person to see their partners bodys (its got a lot to do with intimacy) and thats also why some sexes dont like the fact their lover is friends with an ex.

I really see no point in pretending to be some supermodel, but how bad is the 'younger age' thing? My picture was randomly taken by a professional on my prom almost a year ago, and I've grown pretty long hair since then. Would you advice me to update with a newer picture?
