I'm not from London... But I was reading this post and I thought I would add something... I hope you don't mind me coming onto your board!

A few months ago, I was out and this guy comes over to me.. Starts chatting me up... Says that he thinks I am stunning and sexy.. And he loves my style and my hair.. Then we kissed... He said he thought I was amazing and sexy and a fantastic kisser.. He was really attractive and seemed lovely.. Interesting, intelligent, well spoken, stylish... Just my type.. Anyway.. He went off the to bar.. When he came back, we kissed again.. and he said, "I think you are so sexy and amazing.. But I would never introduce you to my mates or go out with you"... So I asked him why.. He said, "well, because you are fat.. no guy wants a fat girlfriend.. My mates would judge me..." At this point, he stopped talking as I threw my drink over him... Then I shouted at him.. Told him what a shallow wanker he was.. Then I told my friends who also shouted at him.. Then I toild his friends who were mortified and made him apologise to me!

I think this attitude is typical of a lot of guys.. They like curvy girls but they don't want their mates to know.. Because slim girls are the ideal- the trophy.. Sad, don't you think?

blokes like him just dont have confidence in themselves because any real man if he liked a woman would go out with her despite of what his friends thought. if he'd been out with a quite few women then he would have the courage of his convictions and would of just taken you over to his mates and introduced you. but the way he acted just indicates to me that he's like a lot of guys.....namely he hasnt had many women in his life which makes him insecure and fragile of ego. so you probably would of got bored of him anyway in the end as he'd be the sort of muppet that always "accidentally" turns up to the pub/club his girlfriend is at on a girls night out so he can check that she isnt looking elsewhere as he is so woefully unconfident of himself as a man. my advice babe is {not that you need it} wait for a real man who is secure in himself and who will be able to make you happy because he's confident of his "product" and who doesnt justify himself by whoever is on his arm......

I agree completely! But what is funny is that his mates adore me!! They were horrified by his behaviour! He spent the rest of the night following me round trying to pull me!! What a twat!! Ha Ha! xxx

its an oft said truism, but there are five main senses, if you discount intuition and various clairvoyant ones, and of these only the visual seems to be preferred these days.
Personally, a nice balance of them all goes down very well with me. what is it like when the person you are with smells wonderful, or the timbre of their voice lifts your heart?.....how do you react when you kiss for the fist time, and they taste like honey melting into your mouth?, or when you close your eyes and slowly caress, engulfing in one another's touch in a tactile symphony. Vision is often blind to the subtleties and graces of the other senses.

A touch, a smell, a taste, and warming lilt or a heart warming laugh.....

and thats without even entering the realm of the heart!

You're right of course, most guys I reckon like curvy girls, most guys (with any experience of girlfriends) know that the so called trophy girls that the media pushes, are not realistic, real life is not skinny women (or men with 6 packs). Curvy is good, big figures are good, so is slim...but most guys I don't think are into the ultra skinny model types. Old cliche but the person and personality still matters... yeah that guy was taking the p... Some guys work on a numbers game, i.e. go to a bar, get drunk, hit on women, kiss one or be very forward, eventually you're gonna get lucky. Maybe he'll think twice after your reaction, he should!

i am both shocked and incredibly happy to read the posts on this forum - shocked at cats treatment ( i take it this guy was very young?) and very happy to read that size 16+ is considered sexy by many guys. i dont have a very good body image of myself and trying very hard to improve it. my poor image is due to being told fat was ugly as a kid...oh the damage we do!!

we defiantely need to continue in this vein to get the message out there to the women of the UK who think being a stick thin is the only way we can attract men. its personality first and foremost. skinny women rarely have much and are usually neurotic as hell!!
