Im in my forties and i have dated lots of women in their forties but many of them seem to have so much baggage! I never thought i`d see the day but a while ago i met a girl who was 24 and we got on great! It was so refreshing and she seemed to appreciate my experience of life and my old fashioned values!

I suspect there may be more women out there who secretly prefer an older man but maybe its the stigma which holds them back? Am i right about this or am i just being viewed as a dirty old letch?

Incidentally it didnt work out with my ex and I but age difference was not the issue!

I hope older women wont take offence at this because im sure there are many out there with little baggage but its just my experience.

Im just talking general.

Id like to hear from any younger women out there who do indeed prefer an older man.

Your poll question was "do you prefer an older man", or some such, no straight man can answer that.

Obviously intelligent women in their 20s are attractive to a 42-year-old bloke like me but I don't expect to date them. If such a woman did express an interest in me I probably would have a (no doubt half-hearted) attempt to disuade her.

I notice that there exists a "sugar daddy" site that you might have more interest in.

I'd like to add that not many people use this part of the forum much and that waiting less than 24 hours for a response is not just optimistic but pretty unrealistic. If you look around you'll notice lots of similar threads asking 'anyone interested?' A lot are ignored because people tend to like to get to know each other before showing an interest

I'm new to this site and found this thread so here is my perspective.
I have always been with younger women. I find them far more interesting and they seem to relish in the experience that we older men can offer. It seems to me that sometimes they like to jump all the boy stuff that goes on and indulge in a real relationship. I have been lucky enough to have long lasting relationships and always enjoyed them but i have never restricted the women in my life to my age group of friends. They have always been free to enjoy their own friends without me being involved.
I have been out with women my age and they make me feel old and thats something i dont need or want Rolling Eyes

an age difference really depends on the people, i have dated younger and older (only a few years difference mind), it greatly depends on what you both are looking for...

honestly IMO huge age differences dont often work, or eventually manafest into other problems.
i have dated a few younger and even older women that have mainly been looking for some maturity which worked out great, but unfortunaly some definatly are looking sugar daddies.

I think younger men are generally a bit immature for me, and I am so inclined to prefer 'older values' as you say... thats my opinion, I bet there are loads of girls out there that think the same but yea probably a bit scared of the reaction to the relationship maybe...

It's got to take some thought, but if a relationship worked out with me with an older guy I think I could be so much happier then one of my age...
