In a conversation with my mates the other day the subject of sex with strangers came up and i wondered what peoples' opinions were from a website like this.
I mean, we all know the risks of meeting up for sex with people we dont no but is it really as common as people think? why do we do it, is it the thrill of being with someone totally new and mysterious?
so if nyones interested....haha Laughing totally messing, just wanted to know what people thought.

Theres nothing wrong with sex with strangers
Apart from the problems with STD's...
Even with the use of a condom, most STD's have a 50/50 chance of actually passing through...
Unlike a pregnancy where the rates are put at 99.9%

& since the current government average is 33.3% of sexually active "young" people have a STD

Sex with stranger puts your likelihood of catching one at... 16.6%

Theres something they don't teach in schools

No not bitching
Telling it how it is
You say that you don't care whether they use a condom
The average guy that doesn't carry them is a jackass
So you don't care whether they are or not

So, according to you, you have a 50% chance of catching an STD even if you use a condom, but only a 16.6% chance of catching one if you have sex with a stranger?

I think that they don't teach your stats in schools because they're bullshit.

I personally think that anything goes so long as you're two consenting adults and you play it safe. And by play it safe I don't mean just using a condom; make sure someone knows exactly where you are, give them the contact details of who you're with, have them phone you and have a code to say whether everything's okay, have an agreed time to be home and let them know if it'll change (if you get lucky). As for safe sex, if you use a condom you can't go far wrong; for girls, if you're on the pill as well you have something like a 0.01% chance of getting pregnant. ALWAYS use a condom for people you've met online or flings or one-night-stands, the only way you should be having sex without one is if the girl is on the pill, hasn't had any stomach problems or recent courses of antibiotics (among other medicines) and you have evidence that you're both STD-free and you're dating exclusively. Make sure the condom is in-date, make sure you don't tear it with fingernails or jewellery or when ripping the packet open (nobody needs you to open it with your teeth), make sure you put it on before your fingers touch any pre-ejaculatory fluids (like semen), make sure you hold on to it afterwarsd when you pull out, make sure it hasn't ripped afterwards. Also, men should get over their general pride and buy condoms that FIT. If you have a smaller penis, get a smaller condom-it won't slip off and it'll feel better. If you have a big penis don't try to get a smaller one on because it's more likely to burst. Try a few until you find one that fits and then carry at LEAST three around with you at ALL TIMES (you never know when you might get lucky, and it would suck if the one you had had broken or something).

Phew. I'm done being a PSHE teacher now?

Actually his stats hold up.

33.3% chance of a stranger having an STD
50% chance of the condom not working
=16.6% chance of catching an STD from a stranger while using a condom

Sex isn't a purely physical act for me, which is why I can't see much value in getting involved in such with a stranger. How can you want somebody you don't know? Ah well, I guess some are easily pleased.

Although the statistics quoted are mathematically accurate, the assumptions are drivel. 50% chance of catching STDs whilst using contraception? Although this figure may apply only if you include people who are relying on the contraceptive pill to prevent STDs, it does not apply to those who are using condoms- these provide a high rate of protection, when properly attached. And 33% of people carrying STDs? That can't be based on any accurate survey.

As long as you are like-minded, treat people with respect, and are properly protected, sex with strangers is a perfectly acceptable and enjoyable hobby.
