Hi all

"38,120 men and 12,558 women to date in London", claims this very website, but why is there more than 3 times as many men as women? Could it be that men are actually more interested in romance than women? And if so why are romantic movies called 'chick-flicks'?

I have plenty of my own theories about this but I thought it might be fun to hear other peoples.

it's not about romance on here. It's about finding someone to shag for most men.

However, it may surprise you to learn that romance can lead to shagging. The two ideas are far from separate. But even if the men are here for baser reasons than the women that still doesn't explain the imbalance. If there's 38,000 men here to meet women then there should be 38,000 women here to meet men, so where are the other 26,000? Are they just happy to remain single forever?

Maybe its that mars venus thing. Computer dating is better suited to martians me thinks....
