I've got a couple of nice pubs local to me so dont have to venture far when searching for alcohol....

When we do go into the city we usually stick around the Picadilly Circus area

Cause the night bus brings us straight home!

all over central london , liverpool street has some great bars , hamilton hall , woodin shades grimy proper olde london pub , covent garden is a must and all . farringdon another corker for nitelife , brick lane for all types of weird and wonderful people , soho has another great selection but be wary of heavyhanded doormen as we discovered !!!. all the above are great

I haven't been out drinking on my own around London for years but the places that were any good were The Porterhouse in Covent Garden, The Roadhouse in Covent Garden a bit too small and cramped though. Tiger Tiger on the Haymarket, The Vibe Bar in Brick Lane and that is about it. I found the choice of really good places to go a bit limited in central London. Most bars seemed to be a bit bland. The bars back home in Staffordshire were much better when I was living there over 12 years ago.
