I can only speak for myself. I chose to respond to people who I'm interested in. Why should I spend the little time I have responding to someone who I do not find attractive in the slightest?

Just one of those things. Thats the thing with these online sites. You don't have to deal with the small talk. If you like someone you chat with them, if you don't you move on.

It's quite true but i think that due to the amount of mail women get it's only a glance so you have to make an impression.

As Genieann mentions why talk to someone you are not interested in. Sucks if your a guy wanting attention but that's what the local night club after 1am is for!
