Hey guys
Im changing jobs at the moment and will be working in canary wharf in two weeks and would like to go out for a few drinks after work sometime but seeing as Im not from London (basingstoke) I really have no idea where there are good bars that I can go to just to have a drink or meet cool chilled people.
any suggestions

If you like rock/metal/goth then The Intrepid Fox is a must, just off Tottenham Court Road tube. Also Camden is worth a visit though its not as good as it used to be.

I don't come in here much Das, you might have better luck if you post in the main forum...

If metal aint your thing! try out Shoreditch (liverpool street) some great D&M/house clubs on bricklane, which are more like bar and are very chilled out duing the week. On the high street theirs all sorts old pubs, live bands, strip bars (recomend the sport bar shoredith) wine bars and good mix of artist/musicians, ravers, locals and even yuppies if that your thing.

hehe Das I am not surprised Wink

its not in Wardor st any more in case you didn't know, new addy is in the link above. You basically cross from TCR tube to the Centre Point block and walk around it to roughly the opposite corner, pretty hard to miss it. Had some mad nights in the old place over the years...

Yeah I'm with Stoicism, east london is pretty great, though I would'nt go on the weekend as it tends to fill up with pricks and unless you know where your going you may find it hard to get into places, best to go on Thursday, meet a few locals then when the weekend comes they'll show you the places to go. Camden is also pretty good but again I'd avoid it on the weekend.
