Whoa, I had to laugh when I read the first port in this thread. It's not exactly the kind of thing you expect to see someone post on a dating site...

I know what that other guy means about people not replying to messages, though to be honest I think a lot of profiles on here - as with any other dating site and especially with the paid ones - are fake. Think about it. Is anyone going to sign up to a dating site that has 2 members? Of course not. They need to pad out the users with fakes to get people interested. For that reason you're not going to get replies from a lot of "people" on here no matter who/what you are.

If you can learn to accept that and just get on with it and stop treating it so seriously, I'm sure you'll be fine.

For instance, as well as looking out for a potential Mrs (just as much chance of that as there is of meeting her in a club, I guess) I'm also looking out for people that I can chill out with in a beer garden somewhere in the sunshine.

BTW, TheMancunian - your sense of humour made me smile I have to say. Don't worry, I'm completely straight etc but yeah, some funny posts there mate.

i send messages to men and i get nothing back i send normal ones you know hello how are you did you have a good day im hannah etc etc etc and i rarely get a reply the majority of messages i get are explaining what explicit act they would like to act out with me, what they would like to do with me with innanimate household objects or how they are from the gambia and they love me and want to marry me etc etc

is it any wonder they get something choice back (if im in a really shitty mood) or nothing at all

sometimes i dont reply as the person does not interest me or does not have a picture but most of the time i will email back saying thankyou for your message but im not interested *insert reason here* which i may have found from their profile or wot not or i will ask where the picture is and why it is important to me that i can see one and maybe they could email me when they have one

is that so unreasonable? i think not!

so dont generalise us as all women are not the same

This subject seems to come up every five minutes on the forum. I wish people (mainly blokes) would pull their socks up and get on with it. If someone isn't interested in replying then that's up to them, right? I agree with being friendly, but also respect people's individuality. This is a dating site, not dinner with the duchess
