Could be 2 things - you're not meeting a wide enough range of guys & missing out on the nice ones (eg looking in the same dodgy pubs); or
You're not meeting many guys who meet your definition of nice & immediately discounting them.

Not meaning to be too analytical but I see a lot of women complaining about not meeting nice guys and a lot of guys complaining that women don't go for nice guys.
Personally it seems nice, polite & respectful doesn't usually impress the women quite as much as chancey & arrogant does.

For what its worth, nice & respectful often seems to be interpreted, at least initially, as cautious and less confident. Possibly you should give it a bit more time with those you've discounted.
