apologies for ranting, but its such an insult to our intelligence when men, quite obviously put up a photo of someone they are not.
pretending to be a male model, for instance just getting a photo of some random hot guy on google and pretending thats them.
just be yourself rather than pretending to be someone else.
this might be a shock to some of you guys, but alot of us girls actually care much more about whats inside than what you look like!

rant over haha.

Oh my, Miss Mirrorpool, you're making this young virgin blush! Embarassed

Somewhat more seriously, women are just as likely to have fake photos up as men are, I don't think it is a gender specifc trait.

Um ..... obviously (being women) they are unlikely to display their willys in their photos, but it might be prudent to mention that some men might find vast amounts of naked flesh and exposed titties just as distasteful.

OK, the reality is that the average male might not find this distasteful, but on the other side of the coin such provocative photos might lead one to assume that such women are 'easy'. Having perused such profiles, it is hardly surprising that some women receive lewd and suggestive messages through Firtbox, especially when added to the weight of their coarse and crude posts on the forum (if they post on the forum, of course).

yes i agree. but of course, im only going to experience men doing it because im looking for a man not a woman.
it works both ways, but i was simply ranting towards men as that is what i always have to put up with ! Smile

So women do it as well, of course it's probably no different Mr.DH

Hmm point taken on your other comments.... well, I'm still MOSTLY covered up, AND I do have a face as well but I have had a few comments from men who find my cleavage 'distasteful' plus other comments around trying to work out if I'm 'nice' or 'naughty'. I hope those wonderings would be clearer from my posts on here......but I do have my moments

Ah, but there's a difference between naughty and being slutty.

With hindsight, I have to admit that the vast majority of afore-mentioned semi-clad to naked photos are on girlsweb.

Never even looked at girlsweb.... must be a shame for men trying to pull a fit girl and find they're all into other women......I've had 3 stunners after me this week alone... but I'm ONLY into men.

I know why fake it!
I mean if you're on this site to meet someone... surely in the end if they meet up with you they're going to realise?

It depends on context I think. Don't get me wrong - I like to see beautiful women scantily clad as much as the next bloke, but on a dating site like Flirtbox a scantily clad picture says to me that the person in the picture hasn't got much else to offer, if you know what I'm saying. Okay I know you can't judge a book by its cover and all that and perhaps I'm being a little harsh there - but all the same that's what it says to me.

Saying that though, perhaps if I had the body of a male model I'd want to show it off too Wink

And for the record mirrorpool - your pic is very tasteful. Nice smile Smile

Having read your rant, I quite agree - there is no point in faking yourself on here - it just doesn't make sense to.

I cant say I've noticed it with men's profiles (for obvious reasons!) but there's plenty of women who post fake or inappropriate pics. I'm ot a fan of the classic "Fit" look, I prefer quirky & fun, so I probably havent even clicked on most that are using Model's pics!
On the point raised by Dave however, I must add my voice here also. I'm certainly not scared of seeing flesh, but when a girl posts their profile pic showing them in their bra & pulling down their trousers to show their knickers, but their profile reads "anything but sex..." you've got to wonder what they're really after...!??!

Obviously, I would like say with me at least, what you see is what you get , but instead perhaps I should apologise. I must admit, I'm not actually a green imp as my photo implies! Sorry for misleading anyone ;o)

Sorry for my ignorance but I've not read all the posts and I'm not really following on from where people left off. I get the general gist of the people's comments and posts. My opinion is very simple. I have noticed that both men and woman do put pics of themselves being younger. As in the real world people like to impress there potential partners by hook or by crook especially if they really like the other person. It's a human thing for both sexes but its not really advisable if you want the relationship to last or even start at all. I have actually met one lady on here that i thought was quite attractive, nice person etc. I did meet her for a date but I was a bit
disappointed that she was much older than her pic suggested, not a good start:). Just from that one thing alone can lead you to ask questions about trust and honesty etc, again not a good start.

So, did you not ask her age before meeting up?

Her age was consistant but her picture was well younger than her appearance lol. I know one thing for sure I have learned a valuable lesson even at my tender age:)I think it would be a good idea to ask the person if there pic is up to date and also to provide more up to date pics and that way it's a little more reasuring, hopefully without being disapointed in the end. There's an old saying that goes "never judge a book by it's cover always flick through the pages" (might not be word for word) is very appropriate here.
